Project Overview
A major distribution warehouse in Brampton, Ontario required the replacement of an aging horizontal baler used to compress large volumes of cardboard generated from daily shipping operations. Because the facility processes significant packaging waste throughout the day, extended downtime was not an option.
The new baler arrived on site while the facility remained fully active. Our team was tasked with removing the existing unit and installing the replacement machine while keeping disruption to warehouse operations as minimal as possible.
The project required coordinated movement of both machines through an internal ramp area, carefully lowering the old unit and pushing the new 28,000-lb baler into position within the same working window.
To meet the tight timeline, Solid Hook deployed additional crew members and specialized moving equipment to complete the entire replacement safely within a single day.
