Project Overview

Solid Hook was contracted to unload and position a newly delivered CNC stone bridge saw that arrived inside a shipping container at a customer facility without dock infrastructure.

Because the site did not have loading dock access, the machine could not be removed directly to grade. A staged trailer-based setup was required to match elevation and allow controlled extraction from the container before transferring the unit for final placement inside the facility.

The Challenge

    • No loading dock at delivery site

    • Machine delivered inside a shipping container

    • Elevation mismatch

    • Limited staging space outside facility

    • Need for controlled extraction to prevent load shift

Without dock access, direct forklift removal was not possible. The machine required a transitional setup to safely move from container to ground without instability.

Our Solution

    • Positioned a Landoll trailer with dock leveler to match container height

    • Installed machinery dollies under one end to enable controlled horizontal extraction

    • Used forklift-assisted pull-out sequencing from container to trailer platform

    • Transferred unit to ground using Versa-Lift 25/35

    • Positioned and aligned the bridge saw inside the facility to layout specification

This multi-stage transfer allowed safe container extraction, stable ground transition, and precision placement inside the shop.

Results

The CNC stone bridge saw was successfully extracted from the container and placed inside the facility without dock access.

Height matching using the Landoll setup ensured stable transfer from container to transitional platform. The Versa-Lift provided controlled offloading to grade, and final positioning inside the facility was completed without instability or surface damage.

The machine was safely staged and aligned, ready for integration into production.
